Meet Your Hostess
Hey everyone! I’m Misty King and I welcome you to my blog site. After years of being a Real Estate Agent at Amerimade Realty here in Northwest Ohio, I realized I often had responsibilities that went far beyond marketing and advertising properties, preparing market analyses, and negotiating contracts. Dozens of times over the years I worked with buyers moving in from out of the area due to job transfers or to be closer to family who lived nearby. Many times they knew little – if anything – about my little neck of the woods and it was my job to introduce them to the surrounding community and let them know what to expect if they were to move here. Essentially I found myself in the role of “ambassador” for the Northwest Ohio area on many occasions.
Why I started this Blog
As people asked me more and more questions and I researched answers when I wasn’t 100% sure, I started to realize there was so much more to Northwest Ohio than even I knew – and I’ve lived here for over 40 years. So these past two years I’ve begun to explore more and more and I’m so excited with some of the gold nuggets I’ve found and I want to share them with you!
What I’ll write About
A few things you should know about me so that you know what to expect while perusing through my site: I’m a mom of four (two biological daughters and two stepsons), plus a dog mom to two incredible pups. I’ve been with my husband Matt since 2002. We are foodies who love to travel and shop, we and are self-proclaimed cocktail connoisseurs. I’m a store owner (ElliAnn’s Boutique and The Mad Ox Men’s Emporium). I love to read though I rarely have time these days. I enjoy watching college football, NHL Hockey, Volleyball and Tennis. I live to be outdoors – whether hiking, fishing, exploring, or just sitting, it doesn’t matter as long as I’m in the fresh air. Music is my therapy. I can’t play any instruments or sing to save my life, but I could listen to all genres of music all day long and be completely content. I’m also heavily involved in various charities and organizations within my community. Most of all I’m a fault-filled child of God who’s just trying to do my part to make this world a better place.
If ever you’re in Bryan, please look me up. I love meeting new people! Or if you’re here and need advice on where to go for ___________ [whatever]. Please don’t hesitate to call me at 419-633-4997.
